Gavin developed an interest in the lighting industry whilst studying at school. He first started working in theatre in 1989 as a trainee electrician and now works as a freelance Lighting Designer / Production Electrician. Gavin works mainly within the Music and Events market now and has been involved recently with such projects as CARMEN (Royal Albert Hall); Henley Festival of Music & Art; The Commonwealth Games Manchester; MTV Europe Awards Frankfurt, Barcelona & Edinburgh; The Brit Awards 2003; ‘The Darkness’ live at London Astoria and ‘Pop Idol’ to name but a few. Gavin’s lighting design credits include: HOT SHOE SHUFFLE (UK tour); TAP DOGS (UK, European, USA & Asian tours); TAP DOGS REBOOTED (Sadlers Wells Theatre); KAT AND THE KINGS (Associate Lighting Designer -UK tour, Designer ? Frankfurt, Vienna, European tour); CIRCUS DAYS, CIRCUS NIGHTS (Channel 4, ICA); JACK AND THE BEANSTALK (Richmond Theatre); GUMBOOTS (UK, USA, European tour, West End and South Korean Season); MUMS THE WORD (West End).
