Saul Radomsky
Saul qualified as a Fine Art teacher in Johannesburg before travelling to England to study Theatre Design at Nottingham. He has been Resident Designer at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter, Oxford Playhouse Company, Cambridge Theatre Company and Hampstead Theatre, London. He has designed numerous productions throughout the UK, the West End and abroad. Those abroad include WHOSE LIFE IS IT ANYWAY (India), RASPBERRIES & TRUMPETS, AN ABSOLUTE TURKEY (Israel), CANDIDA, TAMING OF THE SHREW (Hong Kong), WIFE BEGINS AT FORTY (Australia) and HABEAS CORPUS (South America). His West End productions include SMALL CRAFT WARNINGS with Elaine Stritch, BUS STOP with Lee Remick, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT MARTIAL with Charlton Heston, A TOUCH OF THE POET with Vanessa Redgrave and Timothy Dalton, ANOTHER TIME and REFLECTED GLORY with Albert Finney. He designed ANNA CHRISTIE (RSC Stratford/London) for the National Theatre and A LITTLE HOTEL ON THE SIDE and JACOBOWSKY AND THE COLONEL with Sir Nigel Hawthorne. He designed the set and costumes for the international touring production of KAT AND THE KINGS, which toured from the West End to Broadway, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland. He won an FNB Vita Award for his Set Design when KAT was performed at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town in 2000. Saul has recently returned to live in Cape Town after an absence of 38 years.
