Synopsis

Based on the life of American bestselling author Patricia Highsmith, this gripping psychological thriller is brimming with razor-sharp dialogue, wit and suspense.

In her remote home hidden in the Swiss Alps, celebrated author Patricia Highsmith, queen of the thriller, lives out her final days in solitude. Aging and ailing, she hides away in her study, surrounded by her beloved books and antique weaponry.

Her peace is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of a polished young man, Edward Ridgeway. Sent by her New York publisher, he has been tasked with the delicate mission of persuading the reluctant author to write one final instalment of her best-selling ‘Tom Ripley’ series. As they both initially underestimate the other’s resolve, Edward’s arrival sparks a suspenseful and dangerous game of cat and mouse – one worthy of Highsmith’s own dark imagination.

“A gripping psychological thriller. Creeps up on you and then has you on the edge of your seat.” - Sunday Telegraph
