Thomas Wingfield

Vincent

Thomas trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and studied at the University of East Anglia. Originally from Leeds, he has been performing professionally for over 12 years across theatre, television, and film.

Most recently, he donned the deerstalker to play Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of The Four at Vienna’s English Theatre. Other theatre credits include the West End’s longest-running play, The Mousetrap (St. Martin’s Theatre, London), Brassed Off (Derby Theatre), and Romeo & Juliet (Actors From The London Stage – USA Tour). He has performed extensively with the Pop-Up Globe overseas, appearing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Merchant of Venice (Sydney/Auckland), as well as Romeo & Juliet and Much Ado About Nothing (Auckland). Further stage work includes One Last Thing (For Now) (Old Red Lion Theatre, London),  Frankenstein’s Stooge (King’s Head Theatre, London), Love in the Time of Gilmore Girls and Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho (Theatre503, London), and Pied Piper (The Yard Theatre, London). 

On screen, Thomas has appeared in Meet the Richardsons (Dave/UKTV), Making Ends Meat (Strangers in a Cinema), and the short film Love Bitten, where his performance as Alex earned him the Lense Film Festival Best Actor Award. Other screen credits include Mefjus – Suicide Bassline (HAUS Pictures). 

Outside of acting he is the host of The Oldest Question: A Doctor Who Gameshow Podcast and one half of the comedy sketch duo The Exquisite Corpses. 

Thomas is delighted to be returning to Vienna’s English Theatre to play Vincent in What’s in a Name!
