Jed O'Grady Weiss

Choreographer

Jed was born in Melbourne, Australia to Irish parents. As a youth she trained with teachers such as Brian Nolan, Anne Butler, Faye Johnson-Ross & Diane Reid and was recipient of a Victorian Premier’s Award for Dance, 1994.

After completing a Full Time Program in Performing Arts at Dance World 301, Jed turned her focus to contemporary dance completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree at Deakin University.

As a performer & choreographer Jed has been engaged in Musical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, Fashion, Music Videos, Televised Galas and Educational Platforms for over 30 years.

Her pedagogical career has seen her employed with the Vienna State Opera Ballet Academy since 2012 and previously with numerous Universities, Secondary Schools & Contemporary and Performing Arts Courses throughout Australia, Europe and Scandinavia.

Jed has prepared students for numerous international exams and coached and choreographed performances here in Vienna and abroad. Her students have been awarded prizes in competitions such as Prix de Lausanne and American Grand Prix and are currently engaged in companies all over the world as dancers and choreographers.

Jed first worked with Ariana and Adrienne at Showtime in 2012 and has enjoyed collaborating on projects and workshops immensely in the years since. She adores the physical, cerebral and emotional energy that ignites the hearts and minds of those they work with.
