Simon’s theatre credits include: The Winslow Boy, Sweeney Todd, The Relapse, Cats, An Italian Straw Hat, The Mikado, Witness For the Prosecution (West End); The White Guard, Peter Pan, Shakespeare Live! (RSC) and Valmouth, Goodbye Mr Chips, Henry V, 40 Years On, Divorce Me, Darling! (Chichester).

His film and television credits include: Topsy-Turvy, Chasing Liberty, Draw on Sweet Night, Stalky and Co, By the Sword Divided, The Silver Buckle, London’s Burning, After the War, Goodbye Mr Chips, Lenny Henry Show, Let Them Eat Cake, She Stoops to Conquer and Doctors.

His opera credits include: guest principal at ENO (English National Opera) since 2008; he has also sung roles at La Scala Milan, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Paris Châtelet, Barcelona Liceu, Wiener Festwochen, Oper Kӧln, Aix-en-Provence, Opera Zuid, Bregenz, Aldeburgh, WNO, Garsington, Grange Park. He has sung the Gilbert & Sullivan patter roles throughout the world.

Simon’s writing credits include: A Motley Pair, A Salaried Wit, A Gooseberry Fool (Sky Arts TV), I Am the Very Model (BBC), a new play for Let’s Make an Opera; a new narration for Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra (Britten Estate commissions); Making Massinger (Wiltshire Creative); Voltaire’s Amphibian and Signor Kelly’s Souffle (opera libretti). He has translated numerous operas and directed for stage, screen, radio and opera house.
