Rhys Lawton

Rhys is a performer, writer, director and storyteller who has been working on stage, screen and in people’s ears for the last 15 years.

He co-created the award-winning show The Inevitable Heartbreak of Gavin Plimsole with Sharklegs Theatre Company; he was part of the last truly weekly repertory theatre company in the UK and currently appears as TUTORI-AL in the online Role Playing Series Who Lives Who Dice. Rhys is also a series regular on the multi-award-winning audio dramas The Secret of St Kilda and Ethics Town Radio.

Rhys’ writing credits include a new translation of Aeschylus’ Oresteia, an adaptation of Calderón’s Life is a Dream, as well as writing and producing the online web series 9ft2 – a series of films taking place in an area 3 feet by 3 feet.

He has taught in colleges & universities in London, Oxford, across Southern France and Thessaloniki, lecturing in subjects such as theatre performance and production.
