Julia Nagy
Julia Nagy is an honest, humorous Hungarian who loves to act, sing, and cook. After growing up in the heart of Budapest, her want to explore and express herself as an artist drove her to Vienna, the city that gathers classical and contemporary art of all kinds.
Julia speaks Hungarian, English and basic French. Her theatre journey started at the age of 4 at Madách Musical Dance Academy, playing roles such as the child cat in Cats, the Musical (Madách National Theatre) and Tinker Bell in Peter Pan (Ram Colosseum). Her passion for singing and acting continued with her studies in classical music-based elementary schools and a theatre-based high school, while she sang in the Hungarian State Opera House’s children choir.
Her favourite roles at VETA include Electra (Electra) and Irina (Working Title: Chekhov).
Julia feels being on stage allows her to take off the mask we all put on in real life, and she can fully be herself while portraying other characters physically and emotionally. After graduation, Julia plans to go to London to earn her Master’s degree at East 15.
