Martin Muliar

Martin was born and raised in Vienna. After graduating from high school and studying psychology for a few semesters at the University of Vienna, Martin learned the profession of a therapeutic masseur and set up his own practice in Vienna for more than a decade. In the 90s he changed to the pharmaceutical industry. Acting became more and more important to him, so he attended the Gustav Mahler Conservatory in Vienna and completed his training with distinction in 1999.

His theatre credits include: Bodyguard & Mamma Mia (Vereinigte Bühnen Wien), Spamalot, Evita and Im weißen Rössl. He worked at Theater in der Josefstadt, Salzburg Landestheater, in Graz, Coburg and on various Summer stages in Austria and Germany.

His cinema & TV credits include: Egon Schiele: Death and the Maiden, directed by Dieter Berner in the role of art patron Carl Reininghaus; 4 Frauen und ein Todesfall, Die Macht der Kränkung, Universum History production as Franz Stephan in "Maria Theresia”.

Martin also records audio books and produces his own theatrical productions and literary evenings.

Prizes include: The “Golden Lola” at German Short Film Award 2019 for the role of Josef in The Last Five Minutes of the World, directed by Jürgen Heimüller.
