Basienka is delighted to return to Vienna having had a wonderful time here several years ago appearing as Natasha in the Tom Stoppard musical comedy Rough Crossing.

Other international appearances include spending a year performing on Broadway and touring throughout America taking on the challenge of playing both title roles in alternate versions of Romeo and Juliet followed by the Wife of Bath in The Canterbury Tales for leading US classical theatre company Aquila; Conchita in a European tour of Copacabana, Suzanne in Don’t Dress for Dinner at the English Theatre of Frankfurt, Elena in Venezia at the Teatro San Gallo in Venice, and a Middle and Far East tour of California Suite, travelling as far afield as Malaysia, Thailand and China. More recently she was part of an extensive international tour of Romeo and Juliet playing the Nurse and performing in 15 countries over 7 months!

West End and UK national touring credits include two years Dirty Dancing as Vivien, Fräulein Kost in Cabaret, Ursula in Sweet Charity, Maria Elena in Buddy, Adele in Leave Him to Heaven, Elizabeth Elliot in Persuasion, The Grand High Witch in The Witches, Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web, Bathsheba in Far From the Madding Crowd, Mary in Caught in the Net, Vernet in The Da Vinci Code and the dual roles of The Captain and Dr Richter in Frankenstein.

Regional credits include two seasons at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre playing the title role in Hello Dolly, Desirée in A Little Night Music, Mrs Erlynne in Lady Windermere’s Fan, Vivienne in Pyrenees and Coral Browne and The Queen in Single Spies. Other regional appearances include Celia in Calendar Girls, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Muriel in Animal Farm, Anna in Old Times, Guinevere in Merlin, Marguerite in The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Clara in Antony, Belinda in Noises Off, Jacinta in Serious Money, Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians, Bianca in Othello, Anne in Good as well as many other credits in theatres across the country including the Royal Lyceum Edinburgh, the Glasgow Citizens, the Watermill Newbury, Theatr Clwyd, the Mercury Colchester and The Mill At Sonning.

Extensive screen credits include appearing in several episodes of Eastenders as well as guest starring and featured roles in Doctors, Killing Eve, Victoria, Not Going Out, Casualty, London Road, Chopratown, Carrie and Barry, Robin Hood, Don’t Stop Dreaming, The Royal, Second Coming, Clocking Off, A Good Thief, Small Potatoes, The Vice, Get Real, Frank Stubbs, The Knock, Timebusters, Rides, King and Castle, London’s Burning, Inspector Morse, Tickets For the Titanic, and Lunar Girl. Further credits include The Funny Vegetarian, a 7-part webisode series shot in Australia and radio plays Knot: A Trilogy for Darkfield Radio and Stars in Their Eyes for BBC R4
