Tim Gibson
Tim is delighted to be back at Vienna’s English Theatre, having previously appeared in Pygmalion and the school’s tour of Spooked! — which was actually his first job out of drama school!
Tim has worked in London’s West End for Dominic Dromgoole’s ‘Classic Spring’ season of Oscar Wilde comedies, where he played Gerald Arbuthnot in A Woman of No Importance (UK tour & Vaudeville Theatre) and Moulton in The Importance of Being Earnest (Vaudeville Theatre). Other theatre credits include Cyril Cuthbert in Cyril’s Success (Finborough Theatre), The Provoked Wife, (Hope Theatre), Richard III (UK tour) and The Importance of Being Earnest (Italy tour).
Tim enjoys writing and devising theatre with Heart Sleeve, a company formed during his time at Oxford University. His work with them includes Night Without Luz (Avignon Off Theatre Festival) and last year’s Through Distance (Theaterhuis De Berenkuil, Utrecht), as well as the feature-length film, Ways of Seeing.
Other screen work includes London Unplugged and I, Dido, which won Best Historical Film at the Toronto International Women’s Film Festival.
He has also worked extensively with BBC Learning English, presenting several language series including the award-winning Tim’s Pronunciation Workshop.
