Lukas Hagenauer

Lukas grew up on a farm in Lower Austria and moved to Vienna in 2017 to attend Hegelgasse 12, the High School for Music and Arts. His interest in the arts started long before that as he began to take guitar lessons at the age of 9 and was part of an acting course for kids and teenagers in the countryside. In Vienna he expanded his skill set by taking dance classes in various styles and also learned how to play the saxophone. He is fluent in both German and English.

In 2019, he was accepted into V.E.T.’s SHOWTIME Teen Ensemble, where he performed in a number of shows, including 2019’s Shakespeare in Love (Lord Wessex) and Sister Act (Eddie) in 2020. His favorite role to date was Melchior in Spring Awakening (2020) during his time in high school for Dschungel Wien.

At VETA, he has discovered his love for abstract physical theatre and directing. He is looking forward to exploring the German acting world and combining the two languages in future projects.
