Christina Leitner

Born in Vienna and raised in Lower Austria, Christina is a multi-lingual actress speaking German, English and French. She discovered her passion for the arts at an early age performing in school productions. Her acting education began through workshops at Vienna’s Burgtheater and with private acting lessons.

Before starting VETA’s full time programme, she was part of VETA’s Acting Foundation Programme (AFP), where she enjoyed being on stage in David Ives’ All in the Timing. In 2022, she nurtured her screen acting skills by completing a summer programme at LAMDA. Favorite VETA roles include Olga (Chekhov’s Three Sisters) and Hecuba in Hecuba, directed by Helen Tennison.

Christina’s journey as a dancer led her from ballet as a child to extensive training in Ballroom and Latin as a teenager, having competed at national dance competitions for 5 years. She plays the piano and continuously works on her vocal skills through singing lessons. Besides her passion for horse riding, she loves painting and writing poetry.

Her time at VETA has allowed Christina to find her confidence on stage and to become more open and engaged as a performer. After obtaining her diploma, Christina looks forward to pursuing her acting career in theatre, film and TV as well as creating her own projects.
