Ahmed Al-Taai

Ahmed was born and raised in Vienna. His roots lie in the Balkans (Bosnia) and the Middle-East (Iraq). Ahmed grew up in a multi-lingual household, speaking Bosnian, German and English. From an early age, he discovered his passion for acting and the performing arts. During Middle and High School, Ahmed started his acting training by joining Elisabeth Mayer’s teen theatre ensemble, The English Drama Club.
Ahmed has appeared in several English and German theatre productions, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Oberon), My Fair Lady (Professor Higgins), Glaube, Liebe, Glück (George) and Nichts (Jan-Johann). Besides acting, Ahmed devotes himself to fashion, photography and contemporary dance. While a student at VETA, he was given the opportunity to be part of the backstage crew for Vienna’s English Theatre’s productions, as well as serving as a teaching associate at SHOWTIME, V.E.T.’s Youth Performing Arts School.
Studying at VETA allowed Ahmed not only to grow as an artist but also as a person. Throughout the time of his training, he was able to expand his tools and discover new skills for his future career. He is beyond grateful for the journey he has gone through at VETA and is looking forward to stepping into the industry and reaching people with his art.
