David trained at LAMDA in London.

His first theatre job took him to another English Theatre, the Merlin in Budapest, and then on to European theatre festivals in Mumbai and Delhi. Returning to the UK, David spent 3 years playing Dr. David Scobie in Always and Everyone (A+E), a medical drama on British television. His several other TV credits include many appearances on The Bill (on both sides of the law), roles in Hotel Babylon, Holby City, Where the Heart Is, Doctors, Casualty and The Vice.

On stage he has performed in a variety of roles and productions – from Shakespeare: Taming of the Shrew (twice), once as Tranio at the Open Air Theatre in London’s Regent’s Park and as Petruchio at the Nottingham Playhouse, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream also at Regent’s Park, Lucio in Measure for Measure at Riverside Studios in London, and played both Antipholus twins in The Comedy of Errors for the Northcott theatre in Exeter.

Alongside these he has appeared in the comedies The Safari Party at the Library Theatre in Manchester and Charley’s Aunt at the Theatre Royal in Bath before a nationwide tour. He also took the lead role of Toby in the world premiere of The Gentlemen at the Jermyn Street Theatre off London’s West End. Most recently he was seen as Inspector Davidson in The Sound of Murder also directed by Andy de la Tour.

In 2010 he completed filming on the feature film Young, High and Dead which is due for cinema release later this year.
