Diana Scougall
Martha Brewster
Diana has very happy memories of her previous appearances in
Vienna and she is delighted to be once more playing in this beautiful city.
Diana trained at RADA and gained experience in repertory prior to appearing in London’s West End. She was Helen in The Private Life of Billy Newton at the Royal Court Theatre; enjoyed a happy year as Mollie in The Mousetrap and was amongst those invited to celebrate its 50th anniversary in the presence of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
For two years she was at the Scala Theatre with Peter Pan playing Mrs Darling. As a member of the Old Vic Company besides playing London she also toured with them across Europe including her first visit to Vienna, then to Moscow, St Petersburg, in the open air by the Sphinx in Egypt and the Parthenon in Greece, then onto the USA and finally Broadway.
Her love of open air theatre continues and she has recently played in the enchanting grounds of Hever Castle, Kent, as the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet and the Abbess in The Comedy of Errors.
Diana has appeared in many TV series including Dixon of Dock Green and Dr Finlay’s Casebook. In between readings and recordings for the blind and disabled she has recently played a Mary Whitehouse character to uphold the morals of British television in Ban this Filth a late night spoof TV programme!
