Abby Brewster
Born and bred in Brum, Amanda trained at Birmingham School of Acting relatively late in life, having followed two successful careers, as a teacher and as a financial consultant, before she finally stopped fighting it and threw in the towel to follow her dream of becoming an actress.
Her recent theatre work includes a UK Tour and West End run of
Enjoy by Alan Bennett, at The Gielgud Theatre, with Alison Steadman and David Troughton;
The History Boys (another Bennett play), UK Tour and West End run at Wyndham’s Theatre; Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis, UK Tour with Maureen Lipman, and Brief Encounter UK Tour. Her fringe work includes
Muscles and Playhouse Creatures at The Landor Theatre,
Wyrd Sisters at Upstairs at the Gatehouse,
Fine Tuning at The Crescent Theatre,
Birmingham, and a guest voice-over in Lois Tucker’s one woman show
Super Situation at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.
