Pam Mackinnon is a New York City based freelance director. She has directed both the U.S. regional premieres of Edward Albee’s The Goat or Who Is Sylvia? for the Alley Theatre and his The Play About the Baby at Philadelphia Theatre Company (nominated for two Barrymore Awards, including Best Production).
Other recent directing credits include George Bernard Shaw’s Too True to Be Good at New York University, Christopher Dehnam’s In Film at New York Stage and Film, Thorton Wilder’s Ages of Man plays at the University of Washington, Gina Gionfriddo’s Guinevere at the O’Neill Playwrights’ Conference, Donald Margulies’ Dinner with Friends at the Alley Theatre, Erin Courtney’s Owls at the Humana Festival as well as One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at Perseverance Theatre.
She is an Affiliated Artist of New York City’s Clubbed Thumb, Inc. for whom she has directed six world premieres and several workshops. Pam is very happy to back in Austria where she and her family lived for a year in the mid-seventies at which time she attended a neighborhood school in Mödling.
