Melinda was born in Nottingham and trained at the Webber-Douglas Academy. Her professional stage career in England spanned Pitlochry Festival Theatre, Oxford Playhouse, Liverpool Playhouse, Guilford, and, Chichester Festival Theatre. In London’s West End she played a variety of roles at the Duke of York’s Theatre, the Strand, the Mermaid, and the Arts Theatre Her television credits include The Complete and Utter History of Britain (Monty Python Series) and the Thames Television Series Wicked Women. Her film credits are Hot Millions MGM, and Stranger in the House, Rank Organisation.

Melinda left England for the Donovan Maule Theatre in Nairobi where she played roles in Le Malade Imaginaire, There’s a Girl in My Soup, The Philanthropist, Forget Me Not Lane, They Don’t Grow on Trees, the musical Virtue in Danger, Night Must Fall, and The Government Inspector. She has lived and worked in Stockholm and Belgrade where she created and filmed over 200 episodes of the popular Television Series, Engleski Jezik.

She has lived in Vienna for a number of years, and is a regular performer at the Radiocafe, Radiokulturhaus ORF. She has appeared in a television series Wirklich Shade Um Papa with Peter Weck, in a production of Oxygen at the Hofburg, and has directed two productions at the International Theatre. During her Presidency of Vienna English Theatre’s “Stage Door Club”, she directed and acted in many club productions, and was Director of Drama Activities at The American International School and the American Institute of Music. Melinda is also an accredited LCCI Business Language Trainer, and a Conflict Trainer at Austrian Airlines. She is delighted to be working at Vienna’s English Theatre again.
