Diana has performed in many plays since training at The Central School of Speech and Drama. Roles include the title role in Pam Gem’s Camille at Leeds Playhouse and the original Annie in Doug Lucie’s play Hard Feelings at the Bush Theatre (also filmed as a
BBC Play For Today). Shakespearean roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (Oldham Coliseum), Desdemona in Othello (Chester Gateway), Olivia in Twelfth Night (British Council Tour) and Isabella in Measure For Measure (Actors Touring Company), also Marianna in Measure at the Royal Exchange.
Other plays include Don Quixote I and II (
ATC touring), Isabella in Wuthering Heights (Oldham Coliseum), Mary Gallagher in Once a Catholic, Toine in Piaf (Derby Playhouse); Genya in Chance Visitor (Watford Palace) and Sonia in Babies (Oldham Coliseum). More recently, London fringe performances include Mrs Emmerson in The Fool, written and directed by Edward Bond (The Cock Tavern), Gertrude in Hamlet (The White Bear), and Jocasta in Ted Hughes adaptation of Seneca’s Oedipus (Battersea Arts Centre).
Film work includes the lead in Michael Hoffman’s Oxford film Privileged and the art film Wellman at the
RCA.
Independent TV work includes The Bill, The Eye of Yemanda and the Chanel 4 TV series The Intern. Further
BBC work includes The Fourth Arm, the award winning series Blind Justice, Only Fools and Horses, radio plays, and most recently, Diana appeared as Mrs Christodoulou in the latest series of Dr Who.
