Joseph Kolinski, originally from Detroit, Michigan,
USA, now makes his home with his beautiful wife and daughter in the borough of The Bronx in New York City. He began his acting training at the University of Detroit, and then continued in New York under the tutelage of the great Sanford Meisner.
Joseph appeared in the original Broadway casts of
Titanic, as Benjamin Gugenheim and later as Thomas Andrews,
Les Misérables, as Feuilly and later as Enjolras,
The Three Musketeers as the Duke of Buckingham,
The Human Comedy as Toby,
Dance a Little Closer as the anarchist Franz, and the 1980 revival of Brigadoon. He also was understudy to Mark Hamill in the Broadway production of
Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks.
Leonard Bernstein selected him to perform the role of Celebrant in his
Mass at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Television audiences have seen him on
Law and Order,
Special Victims Unit, and
Criminal Intent. Also, on ABC’s daytime drama,
One Life to Live, Joseph had the pleasure of filming exterior scenes in Austria’s beautiful mountains while playing the evil Prince Roland of Mendora.
