Julian is delighted to return to Vienna’s English Theatre where he directed

As Artistic Director of the Sevenoaks Playhouse he directed
Vita & Virginia, The Railway Children, Wallflowering, Kiss of the Spiderwoman (the play),
Wind in the Willows and
The Turn of the Screw.
Julian directed the 2003/4 national tours of
Fiddler on the Roof, Carousel and
Murdered to Death and his other regional productions include
Fiorello! (Mill Studio Guildford),
Turn of the Screw, Dames at Sea, The Sound of Music, The Fifteen Streets, Who’s Under Where?, The Underworld Project and four Christmas musicals all at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch;
Me and My Girl (Eastbourne);
The Oedipus Complex and
Oedipus Rex (Bristol New Vic); and
The Comedy of Errors (Worthing).
He has been Artistic Director of Sevenoaks Playhouse, The Global Search for New Musicals at The International Festival of Musical Theatre and Associate Director of the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.
Julian is the author of plays, librettos and lyrics, working with composer Richard John. Their musical versions of
The Railway Children and
The Wind in the Willows both played at Sevenoaks Playhouse and
The Railway Children has had a number of productions in Britain. Their musical about airport security staff,
Terminal Four Play is part of Theatre 503’s Urban Scrawl project, will soon be available as a podcast and played at the Latitude Festival.

B.Y.M (Beautiful Young Man) was presented as part of the Pride Encore Benefit Season in New York.
