SYNOPSIS
The smash Broadway hit Souvenir tells the hilarious and endearing story of Florence Foster Jenkins, an eccentric socialite, who gave a series of annual charity concerts during the 1930s. The only problem: Jenkins suffered under the illusion that she was a great coloratura soprano, when in fact she was tone deaf! Despite her lack of talent, Jenkins’ recitals garnered her much fame and a date at Carnegie Hall. Inspired by the real-life collaboration between Jenkins and her accompanist, pianist Cosme McMoon, this touching play is about the true meaning of music, the art of performing, and unlikely friendships.
