SYNOPSIS
Paris, 1941. Pablo Picasso has been arrested and is being questioned by a German agent from the Ministry of Culture, the beautiful and enigmatic Miss Fischer. Hired by the Gestapo, she has been assigned to authenticate, for a proposed exhibition, three “confiscated” paintings, each of which is assumed to be a “Picasso”. After the artist has proudly identified all three paintings as his own, Miss Fischer lets slip that an invitation to the exhibition won’t be forthcoming. Picasso’s suspicions are aroused. When the true destiny of his work is revealed, the two opponents engage in a manipulative cat-and-mouse game with sly humour, sexual tension and suspense.
A riveting drama from the author of the movies Stage Beauty and Casanova
