David makes a happy return to Vienna’s English Theatre. He appeared here in
The Portrait of Dorian Gray and
The Dresser.
David entered the professional theatre after working for eight years with an Insurance Company. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and his first professional engagement was with the BBC Radio Drama Company.
He was in the epic Lyric Theatre Hammersmith production of The Devil and the Good Lord by Jean-Paul Sartre, followed by his West End debut appearing in The Cocktail Party at the Phoenix Theatre.
Amongst his favourite roles played are: Neville in Neville’s Island for Bristol Old Vic, Polonius in Hamlet for Ludlow Festival, Herbert Soppitt in When We Are Married, Chasuble in The Importance of Being Earnest, Selsdon Mowbray in Noises Off for Everyman Cheltenham and numerous roles in the plays of Sir Alan Ayckbourn Television includes Coronation Street, Head Over Heels, Moon and Son, and as eccentric pathologist Dr Adam Graceman in the Judge John Deed series. His film work includes The Weaver’s Wife directed by Harry Potter director David Yates and O! Lucky Man directed by Lindsay Anderson.
