After completing her training at Webber Douglas, Dione was thrust into the world of weekly rep at Southwold and played a wide range of parts in innumerable plays from farce to tragedy. Since then she has appeared in
the West End in a long run of the classic Priestley play When We Are Married, toured to India in The Rivals and played at The Lyric Hammersmith in Five Kinds of Silence by Shelagh Stephenson. She has also worked at a great number of theatres throughout the country both on tour and in repertory in productions like Twelfth Night, The Cherry Orchard, Pride & Prejudice, Noises Off and The Real Thing.

On screen, Dione has appeared in many productions since her debut
performance in Doctor Who. She was seen recently in Family Affairs (C5) and the popular series William & Mary. She also played in an adaptation of the Rosamund Pilcher novel Deep Feelings for German Television a short while ago which is due for screening in early 2005. In recent years Dione has been seen on the small screen in series like Peak Practice, The Bill, Silent Witness, Bad Girls, Wycliffe and The Vet and in a horror movie titled That’s The Way To Do It.

Dione played a regular character in the long-running radio series The Archers for the BBC and has also recorded a great deal of drama for the company over the years.
A Karate green belt, Dione is extremely fit and regularly plays squash and golf to a high standard.
