A guest appearance of the famous comedy and improvisation group
Boom Chicago
Heather Campbell
Heather was born in Chicago and raised at Improv Olympic, she has been lucky enough to study under Del Close, perform at the Austin Comedy Festival, and bounce with Northwestern’s Mee-Ow Show. After college, she went to Los Angeles, where The Groundlings gave her a stage, I.O. West taught her more technique, and the unknown kids at Ultimate Improv made her laugh herself silly. Now, she does comedy at Boom Chicago for a living, and watches Anime for life. Will she collect all the cards in time!?
Rachel Miller
Rachel can tell you why you should visit Portugal, what it’s like to work at Walt Disney World and why she’d like to be a monkey. She can play you a Mozart concerto, knit you a scarf, tile your bathroom, make you a chocolate cake. She can recall studying improv all over Chicago, driving across America in her ‘83 Toyota Corolla and working at the Chicago Symphony. She can take you canoeing, quote her valedictory speech from high school, teach you to bowl or tell you about living in a New York City penthouse.
Tim Sniffen
Tim studied animation in college until he realized that drawing things takes a long time. He started improvising in Chicago in 1997. For the last three years he’s performed with Baby Wants Candy, doing hundreds of completely improvised musicals in Chicago, South Carolina, New York and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (where the group was called ‘an entertainment phenomenon’. Whoa!) Tim is thrilled to be part of the Boom Chicago cast, but wishes the stairs in Amsterdam were a little less steep.
Jim Woods
Born and raised in North Carolina, Woods is a good ol’ southern boy. After watching his grandfather on TV as the local weatherman for years, he decided to pursuit similar television dreams, but not as a meteorologist. So he moved to Chicago where he performed at ImprovOlympic for almost 3 years from which his talents brought him to Amsterdam.
