As a native of Liverpool, Eithne’s first appearance on stage was in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers at Liverpool Playhouse. On its transfer to The Lyric in London’s West End, Eithne took over the lead from Barbara Dickson and played in over 50 performances.
A varied career on film, television, stage, and radio has followed. Perhaps best known for her role in Channel 4’s Brookside as Chrissy Rogers. Her other television credits include: Having It Off (
BBC), Cold Feet (
BBC), Clocking Off (
GTV), the award winning Warriors (
BBC), The Marksman (
BBC) and Emmerdale (
YTV).
Theatre credits include Shirley Valentine, Abigail’s Party, Wuthering Heights, Dangerous Corner, Stags & Hens, Alfie, Billy Liar, A Month in the Country, Limestone Cowboy, Take Three Girls, The Secret Garden and Breakout.
A seasoned contributor and performer on local and national radio, Eithne is also in demand as an after dinner speaker. A regular on panto time, usually as the evil villainness, she most recently played Queen Rat in Dick Whittington.
Eithne recently directed and appeared in a sell out production of The Vagina Monologues at Liverpool Neptune Theatre.
Eithne is also the voice on the world famous “Mersey Ferry”.
