Delena Kidd trained at the Central School where she won the Gold Medal. Some Highlights in the many years since then are, Dinner with the Family and Mr Johnson in London, ‘Beatrice’ and ‘Titania’ at Regent’s Park, Tours of Blithe Spirit, The Secretary Bird and many regional Theatre seasons.
For 20 years she acted in, directed and administered the London Shakespeare Group, which played in over 55 countries worldwide during that period.
Her many TV appearances include Casualty, Medics, The Moth, The Two Mrs Grenvilles, Scarlett, Victoria and Albert and 2 years as Elsa Gates in Family Affairs. Films are Room on the Top, Les Misérables and King Lear.
She has appeared at Vienna’s English Theatre on three occasions, first in No Sex Please We’re British, next in her own production of Faith Healer by Brian Friel and then in An Ideal Husband by Oscar Wilde.
She has recently played in Talking Heads by Alan Bennett and Song at Twilight by Noel Coward in Perth and is continuing to tour extensively as ‘Mrs Patrick Campbell’ in Dear Liar by Jerome Kilty.
