Joe went to school at Marlborough, took a BA in history at Exeter then trained with the Actors Company and also did a drama course at Loomis Chaffee, in Conn. USA.

Theatre credits include Thesites in Richard III and Orsino In Twelfth Night in Connecticut, USA and Stage Manager in Six Characters at the Theatro del Centro.

He has played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Vandergelder in The Matchmaker, Cecil Graham in Lady Windermere’s Fan, the tide role in Hamlet and Antipholus in Comedy of Errors at the White Horse Theatre in Germany. In a Musical adaptation of Pride and Prejudice at the Westminster Theatre, he played Mr Bingley and Scrooge’s Stepfather in A Christmas Carol at BAC, London.

He has recendy appeared in a tour of Amy’s View with Susannah York.
