After training at
RADA David Savile spent two years at the Nottingham Playhouse. Theatre work since then includes the first National tour of
A Touch of Spring and the West End production of
Saturday Night and Sunday Morning. He has also worked in repertory at Cardiff, Windsor, Hull, York, Newbury, Keswick, Farnharn and Leatherhead. Some of the productions in which he has played major roles are
Relatively Speaking, Noises Off, Educating Rita, Clouds, Can You Hear Me at the Back, The Elephant Man, Uncle Vtznya, Having aBalI, Night and Day, The Real Thing, Tales of the Lost Formicans and 900 Oneonta (Ambassadors Theatre).
David’s numerous TV credits include three series of
Warship, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion Game, Softly Softly, Dr Who, Bergerac, Howard’s Way and
Strike It Rich all for the
BBC. On
ITV David played Charles Banks in the long running series
Gems as weil as appearing in
Miss Jones and Son, Whodunnit, Brack Report, Mr Palfrey of Westminster, Lytton’s Diary and The Bill for Thames. Out and Paradise Postponed for Euston, Queen of a Distant Country for Anglia, Power Barriers and Andy Robson for Tyne Tees, Crown Court and
Travelling Man for Granada, Shine on Harvey Moon for Central,
Drummonds, Dempsey and Makepeace and Poirot for
LWT,
Red Fox for Fitzroy Films and Anglo Saxon Attitudes for Euston Films. Most recently he has played featured roles in
