America’s Sexiest Couple is a romantic comedy by three-time Emmy Award-winning writer Ken Levine, who has been honoured for his work on classic TV series hits like M*A*S*H, Cheers, Frasier, The Simpsons etc. Levine brings his instinct for comic timing and TV insider knowledge to his new play, seasoned with some very current issues to create the perfect night out at the theatre.

The 90’s was a golden age for sitcoms and actors Susan and Craig had hit the jackpot back then, playing the lead roles in “Residents”, a number one series about a group of young doctors at a Chicago hospital. As happens to the best of us, time, age and grey hair now seem to have caught up with the former on-screen lovers as they find themselves reunited after almost 30 years in a hotel in Syracuse to attend the funeral of a castmate. Soon enough sparks fly as the two ex-stars reconnect and a lifetime of unresolved issues and longings surface. With rumours of a reboot of their old series, can they move on from the past and become “America’s Sexiest Couple” once again?
