Vernon Marshal


During his career Vernon has worked as a Set designer, Scenic carpenter, Lighting & Sound designer, Lecturer & Trainer and Stage/Production Manager.
Past designs include: Moll Flanders, The Shadow of Dr. Syn, The Gingerbread Man, The Great Christmas Tree Adventure and from Alan Ayckbourn’s “Confusions”: Between Mouthfuls, Gosforth’s Fete and Mother Figure all for Channel Theatre Company.
He designed the set for Clarence Darrow starring Leslie Nielsen (Vienna’s English Theatre and Charles Stephens Productions, UK tour), Mark Twain and The Laughing River with Jim Post, Educating Rita and set and costumes for last season’s Doll’s House, Part 2 (all for Vienna’s English Theatre).
Some of his most memorable jobs have included: Production Manager for The Mysteries at Canterbury Cathedral; Stage Manager for The Cherub Company touring Twelfth Night and Alan Bennett’s The Old Country to Iraq and Pakistan in 1988 and Ethiopia, Sudan and Zimbabwe in 1989; Company Manager for The Reduced Shakespeare Company, UK tour and The Arts Theatre, London, and Production Manager on Thunderbirds FAB touring the UK, Holland and Japan.
Vernon is currently Production Manager for Vienna’s English Theatre.
