Cai trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

His theatre credits include: Rafe in Four Play (Theatre503), Delahay in Another Country (Chichester Festival Theatre/Trafalgar Studios), Mr Gardener in Butley (Nimax Theatres), Alan in Penetrator by Anthony Neilson and Dogby in Super John (Freehouse Creative Productions).

Cai’s television credits include: Brandon Maynard in Doctors (BBC), Doctor Small in Summer of Rockets (BBC), Nigel in Doctor Foster (BBC), Reece Evans in Casualty (BBC), Marc in Control Alt (Realm Pictures), Peter in Chewing Gum (Retort Comedy), Neil in Casualty (BBC) and Oscar Widowson in Doctors (BBC).

His film credits include Duncan in The Telemachy (Matchbox Productions).
