Charles is delighted to be returning to Vienna’s English Theatre, having previously performed in Engaging Shaw and Witness For the Prosecution.
His recent theatre work includes Happy to Help at The Park Theatre, and The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe at Birmingham Rep. He played Douglas Smith in the long-running West End comedy Round the Horne Revisited and its sequel Stop Messing About. The show was televised by the
BBC and featured in The Royal Variety Show. He has toured the United States in productions of Hamlet and Macbeth. Other theatre work includes roles for the
RSC and National Theatres and in Repertory for Salisbury, Harrogate, Liverpool, Northampton and Exeter. He has been on Number One tours of Rebecca, Othello and Hay Fever, worked for the English Theatre of Stockholm and played in Bernard Shaw’s How He Lied to Her Husband at The Orange Tree Theatre.
Film work includes The King’s Speech and The Navigators. On Television he has played roles in Casualty, Tokyo Trial, The Halcyon, Holby City, Eastenders, Scoop, Poirot, Head Over Heels and Futurecast.
Charles was on the
BBC Radio Repertory Company and has recorded numerous commercials, documentaries and audiobooks.
