Robert Whelan is delighted to be returning to Vienna and Vienna’s English Theatre where he appeared as Colonel Pickering in Pygmalion in 2015.

Robert has worked extensively in theatres all over Britain and toured India as Banquo in Macbeth, and in Dublin as Mr Lyons in Blood Brothers.

Other favourite parts played include: Joe Keller in All My Sons, Tom in Skylight, Serjeant Musgrave in Serjeant Musgrave’s Death (nominated Best Actor in MEN Awards 1987), Peter Flynn in The Plough and the Stars, Sylvester Heegan in The Silver Tassie, Goldberg in The Birthday Party, Truscott in Loot, Snell in Donkey’s Years, Claudius in Hamlet (Best Production MEN Awards 1986), Gordon in Neville’s Island, Eddie in A View From the Bridge, Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing, Barney in Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Guy Burgess in An Englishman Abroad and Widow Twankey in Aladdin.

Robert has worked regularly on radio and has narrated many documentaries and appears as Ronald Gold in the on-line football game I AM PLAYR.
