Katharina was born in Vienna and studied Cello at the Konservatorium, Vienna and in Salzburg with Heidi Litschauer. She then took drama classes with Eva Zilcher and studied TV and Film acting in Los Angeles. When asked about her profession, she likes to refer to herself as a storyteller.
She has appeared in numerous theatre productions both in Austria and abroad, including
California Suite, The Mikado, The Taming of the Shrew, Mother Courage, Barefoot in the Park, Don Juan Returns from the War, (all at the Volkstheater, Vienna),
Die unheilbringende Zauberkrone and
Die gefesselte Phantasie (Raimundspiele Gutenstein),
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Festspiele Rosenburg),
Parcival, Saint Joan, Die Päpstin (Pope Joan), (Sommerspiele Melk), as well as productions for the Carinthian and the Reichenau Summer Festival, Kammeroper, Metropol, Theater der Jugend and Theater Drachengasse, Vienna, the Stadttheater St. Gallen, Switzerland and theatres in Düsseldorf and Munich. She has recently been performing her solo programme,
Wieviel ist das in Schuhen?, with texts of Ildikó von Kürthy and Sophie Kinsella.
She has also appeared in productions in London, including
Hawking’s Dream and
The Little Prince.

Everyman at the Salzburger Festspiele under the direction of well known British creative artists Julian Crouch and Brian Mertes.
Her last appearearance at Vienna’s English Theatre was as Véronique Vallon in
God of Carnage.
