Lainey trained at the Academy Drama School, London. This is her first production with Vienna’s English Theatre.

Previous theatre credits include: Mrs Fairfax in a new adaptation of Charlotte Brontë s Jane Eyre (Rosemary Branch Theatre), Agnes in Moira Buffini’s Silence, Pam in Peter Nichols A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (both for Large Print Theatre), Aunt Jennings in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility (Tennison’s Quirk), Mrs Basham in Bernard Shaw’s In Good King Charles’s Golden Days, Elizabeth in Patrick Hamilton’s Gaslight, Charlotte in Alan Ayckbourn’s Private Fears in Public Places, Baroness Duverger in Feydeau’s Caught by the Tail and Mrs Bradman in Noël Coward’s Blithe Spirit (all with MFP).

Her TV/Film credits include: Jean Marks in Carl Marks, the director’s very personal story about growing up on a Leeds council estate in early 80’s Britain, Cathy in the improvised feature film Speed Date (Winner: In Mag ‘Excellence in Film 2011’ at the AOF Film Festival, LA), Muriel, a Welsh Angel, in Saturday, Eileen, a nosey neighbour, in Gray Matter, Ruby LaForge in the short horror film Ruby, and a cruel Mother in Pudding Bowl directed by the award winning Vanessa Caswill.

Lainey also worked as producer on Silence with Large Print Theatre.
