Jody trained at Bretton Hall in Yorkshire. She spent several years with the English Shakespeare Company in productions of Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet. She has toured Europe, including Austria and the UK, playing Lady Macbeth for the American Drama Group Europe. Jody has also worked for The Simply Shakespeare Company (Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and the Stephen Joseph Theatre (Mary Magdalene in The Wakefield Mysteries).

On a less classical note Jody played Mrs Mugglewump in The Twits (Belgrade Coventry) and recently a Tango dancing Mermaid in Mobilis in Mobili (Shunt Lounge London Bridge and Brighton Festival). She has appeared opposite Tom Conti in Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell (West End Garrick) and in The Real Thing (Theatre Royal Bath Company on tour).

Her TV credits include The Royal Today and Emmerdale both for ITV Yorkshire and has played Queen Elizabeth First (Cowdray House documentary).

Jody has recorded numerous commercial voice-overs and most recently narrated This World/Correspondant for the BBC. She has also appeared in various short and low budget films (If I’m Spared, Maverick Media, Crust Giant Films/Little Wing Films) and recently played the female lead opposite Ronald Top in The Royman Closure filmed in Amsterdam for Trigger Pictures.
