Michael trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

He has just finished a run of the world premiere of We’ll Always Have Paris at the Mill at Sonning Theatre. Before that he played Arnold Schönberg in a reading of Four Jews on Parnassus by Carl Djerassi at the Austrian Cultural Forum, London.

His West End credits include Out of Order (Shaftesbury Theatre) and UK No.1 Tour, It Runs in the Family (Playhouse Theatre), Zoo Story (Young Vic), Wars of the Roses (Old Vic) and The King & I (Tour).

He appeared at the Globe Theatre in As You Like It, A Mad World My Masters and in King Lear and at the RSC in Oroonoko and Timon of Athens

Michael performed at the National Theatre in Amadeus, Othello, Sisterly Feelings, The Romans in Britain, Hiawatha, The Hypochondriac (Plays and Players Nomination for Best Newcomer), The Spanish Tragedy and The Caucasian Chalk Circle.

He also toured with the English Shakespeare Company in The Wars of the Roses (World & UK No.1 Tour) and in Beowulf (UK No.1 Tour).

His Fringe credits include Lotty’s War (Greenwich Playhouse), Timon of Athens (The Brix) and Calculus (New End).

Michael’ extensive Repertory credits include Romeo and Juliet, A Night in Provence, Not Now Darling, San Diego, The Mating Game, One Good Turn, Julius Caesar, Hiawatha, Mother Goose, Charley’s Aunt, A Mad World My Masters, Absurd Person Singular, The Ghost Train, The Boyfriend, Romeo and Juliet, The Hostage, The Ruling Class, Barefoot In The Park, Destiny, Hans The Witch and the Gobbin, Royal Hunt of the Sun, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Salisbury Playhouse, Westcliffe, Bristol Old Vic, Manchester Library Theatre, Perth, Crewe, Leatherhead, Windsor, Bromley, Basingstoke, Tron Glasgow, Mill at Sonning and Royal Exchange.

His TV credits include My Family, Personal Affairs, The Complete Guide to Parenting, Doctors, Sinchronicity, Jericho, Footballers’ Wives, Doctors, Eastenders, High Stakes, Dangerfield, London’s Burning, The Paradise Club, Rules of Engagement, Fighting Back, Inspector Morse, Shine on Harvey Moon, The Monocled Mutineer, Crown Court and A Slight Breeze.

His Film credits include A Feast at Midnight, Dead on Time, Jerusalem, Lost in London and Hawk the Slayer and he was heard on Radio in Dear Countess.

Michael lectures at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London and is also an accomplished painter.
