Mark was trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and has worked all over the UK as well as Athens, Jerusalem, Berlin, Frankfurt, Lisbon and Spoletto, Italy. Previous theatre work includes
The Master and Margarita, Venus and Adonis, Twelfth Night, Romeo in
Romeo and Juliet, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Prince Hal in
Henry IV Part One, D’Artagnan in
The Three Musketeers, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Measure for Measure, An Ideal Husband and
Hamlet (both directed by Sir Peter Hall),
Salome (directed by Steven Berkoff),
Noises Off, The Shell Seekers,
The Importance of Being Earnest and
Neville’s Island. At the beginning of the year he was appearing at the Royal National Theatre in
Present Laughter.
On TV and in film, Mark’s appearances include
A Hazard of Hearts, The Monk, Lady Jane (directed by Trevor Nunn),
Eastenders, The Bill, Peak Practice, Zeus in
Gory Greek Gods and
Emmerdale, in which he played the regular role of Andrew Fraser. His last appearance at Vienna’s English Theatre was in
Donkeys’ Years. Mark is a regular reader of Talking Books for the Royal National Institute for the Blind.
