Since graduating from drama school Matthew’s theatre work includes: ‘Simon’ in
Hayfever, Salisbury Playhouse; ‘Tadzio’ in
A Patriot For Me for the Royal Shakespeare Company; ‘Phillip’ in
The Lion in Winter, The Haymarket, Basingstoke; ‘Curio’ in
Twelfth Night for Kate O’Mara’s British Actors Theatre Company; ‘Roller’ in Schiller’s
The Robbers, The Gate Theatre; ‘Christopher Wren’ in
The Mousetrap, St Martins Theatre; ‘JJ’ in
Original Spin, Hampstead Theatre and Criterion, West End. Most recently Matthew played alongside Penelope Keith in the
BBC Radio Four comedy series
Agatha Raisin.
His television work includes: the
BBC screenplay
The Princess of Wales, The Bill and several commercials. He has also presented a series of travelogues for Oxford University Press.
Matthew played ‘Dick Pentwick’ in last year’s production of
Love’s a Luxury and is very happy to be returning.
