Originally from London, Timothy trained at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 1994 as winner of the Max Adrian Cup for Best Actor. He has since worked and toured extensively in theatres up and down Britain. National UK tours include: Fantastic Mr Fox, George’s Marvellous Medicine, Woof!, The Witches, James and the Giant Peach, Tom’s Midnight Garden (all for The Birmingham Stage Company), Rattigan’s While the Sun Shines for Channel Theatre Company and, most recently Horrible Histories for Touring Tales Theatre Company.

Other theatre credits include: Edward Bond’s Derek (Diorama); The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse, Puss in Boots, The House at Pooh Corner and James and the Giant Peach (Polka Theatre, London); She Stoops to Conquer (with Diana Coupland and Stephen Mangen) and The B.F.G. (Birmingham Old Rep); Toad in a musical adaptation of The Wind in the Willows (Torch Theatre, Milford Haven); The Revengers Tragedy (Pentameters); Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Eye Theatre); Jean Anouilh’s Mademoiselle Colombe (with Honor Blackman), Bridges and Harmonies ( with Peter Blake and Eva Pope ) and The Boundary (Bridewell Theatre, London); ‘Alfred Doolittle’ in Pygmalion (Eye Theatre); Christina Rossetti’s Goblin Market (Southwark Playhouse and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sydmonton Festival); The Anatomist (Eastern Angles) and The Clubhouse (Hampstead Theatre).

Recent Television/Film credits include: Blue Peter (BBC), The Hutton Enquiry (BBC), Crime Monthly Casebook (LWT), Newsnight (BBC), The Unmarried Family (BBC), Plonk (Lucid Dream Pictures), The Dorset Hanging Oak (Channel 4) and the short film The Clap (Break Thru Films. Runner up at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and at the TCM Shorts at the London Film Festival).

On Radio Timothy is a regular voice over on The World at One, PM, and The World Tonight on BBC Radio 4, and he has also appeared in various Television Commercials, both in the UK and abroad.

Timothy is delighted to be appearing at Vienna’s English Theatre for the first time, and is looking forward to discovering this wonderful city.
