Jean graduated in drama from Bristol University and since then has performed extensively in theatre, television and radio in the UK.
In London’s West End she played Fiona in
Fringe Benefits (Whitehall Theatre), Doreen in
Separate Tables (Apollo Theatre) and Alice in
Ramshackle Company (Arts Theatre).
Favourite theatrical roles have included Dorothy in
Stepping Out (Stoke), Suzette in
Don’t Dress for Dinner (Sonning), Mary in
How the Other Half Loves (Leatherhead), Shen Te in
Good Person of Setzuan (Richmond), Rebecca in
A Chorus of Disapproval (Farnham), Connie in
Habeas Corpus (Sheffield), Ida in
See How They Run (Leicester), Jane in
Absurd Person Singular (Oxford), Irene in
Funny Peculiar (Plymouth), Hermia in
A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Southampton) and Angie in
Abigail’s Party for Channel Theatre Company.
Jean’s interest in The Victorian Magic Lantern has led to lantern shows in Britain and Germany.
Television work includes

Jean is thrilled to be appearing at Vienna’s English Theatre for the first time and she is looking forward to exploring this beautiful city.
