Mr. Serotsky is thrilled and honored to be making his European debut working with Rex Garner in Visiting Mr. Green. An American actor residing in New York City, Aaron earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic Performance from the Conservatory at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Since graduation, he has worked at theatres across America, in everything from Shakespeare to contemporary American comedy, and has been nominated or won awards for Best Actor in Cincinnati, Delaware and New Jersey. He spent five seasons as a member of the Tony Award winning Denver Center Theatre Company, appearing in such plays as Hamlet, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Wit, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, and the world premiere of Jeffrey Hatcher’s Pierre, among others.
Also a singer, Mr. Serotsky recently played the title role in the critically acclaimed Chicago premiere of the new musical The Immigrant. Additional musical credits include Don Jose in the Peter Brook version of Carmen at the Two River Theatre Company, and nearly a year touring the United States with the First National Tour of the Tony Award winning Titanic.
A trained pianist, Aaron played all of his own on-stage music as Stephen Hoffman in Old Wicked Songs, a role he has played twice, in a play that is set here in Vienna. Audiences have also enjoyed his work at the regional theatres of Seattle, Atlanta, Phoenix, St. Louis and other American cities. He spent two summers at the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and another work-shopping new plays at the Sundance Theatre Lab. He has been seen on the television programme “All My Children.”
Aaron sends much thanks to his family at home, and special love to Shannon, whom Vienna audiences may remember from her work in last season’s The Syringa Tree.
