Neil’s film work includes starring roles in Nick Fury for Fox, Oscar winner Barry Levinson’s The Second Civil War with Beau Bridges and James Coburn, directed by Joe Dante (known for Gremlins and Small Soldiers) and the movie Killing Me Softly with Joseph Fiennes and Heather Graham.

Recently Neil has been residing in Los Angeles, appearing in several high profile television series, including Aaron Spelling’s hugely successful Charmed, in Party of Five opposite Neve Campbell (Scream 1 & 2), Public Morals a new series by Stephen Bochco (creator of NYPD Blue and LA Law), Diagnosis Murder with Dick Van Dyke and Aaron Spelling’s Beverly Hills 90210 playing Tori Spelling’s love interest.

Neil studied his craft at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Since then he has appeared in leading roles in numerous West End and Regional Theatre productions, ranging from Christopher Robin in Winnie The Pooh to the title role in Hamlet. He starred opposite Susannah York in the hit comedy On Approval, with Jeremy Northan in Salad Days and opposite Leslie Ash in My Cousin Rachel.

On British television Neil has been noted for his outstanding performances, including BAFTA winner Sandie Hastie’s Privates with Brian Connelly, directed by Bob Spiers (Absolutely Fabulous), the BAFTA nominated A Breed of Heroes, and his “mesmerising” (Daily Mail) and “brilliant” (The Mirror) portrayal of the mass murderer Jeremy Bamber in The White House Farm Murders. Most recently Neil was a regular on the series Family Affairs – his first taste of soap.

Neil was a founder member of The New Prospect Theatre Company with patrons Dame Judi Dench and Leon Uris.
