Born in South Devon, he trained at The Guildford School of Acting and began his career at the historic Castle Theatre in Farnharn, Surrey. He has subsequently worked with many regional companies including Salisbury, Exeter, Southampton, Leatherhead and Windsor playing such diverse roles as Tristram in Taking Steps, Lenin in Travesties, Bishop in Privates on Parade, T wine in Rookery Nook, Beevers in Time and the Conways and Mole in Wind in the Willows.
Other theatre credits include Costard in an open air production of Love’s Labour’s Lost in the ruins of Ludlow Castle, Fag in a tour of The Rivals (with June Whitfield as Mrs Malaprop), a tour of Pam Gems’ Piaf which culminated in a six week season in Toronto, Canada and the London premiere of Neil Simon’s The Good Doctor at The Riverside Studios, Hammersmith.
Among his television appearances have been Eastenders, The Bill, London’s Burning, A Horseman Riding By, Grange Hili, Wings, Space Vets, Pirates and most recently David Starkey’s Six Wives 0/ Henry
VIII as Thomas Cranmer.
Last year Christopher appeared in the Italian film South Kensington starring Rupert Everett and Enrico Brignano.
