Since graduating from drama school Matthew’s theatre work includes: Simon in
Hayfever, Salisbury Playhouse; Tadzio in
A Patriot For Me with The Royal Shakespeare Company; Philip in
The Lion in Winter, Basingstoke; Curio in
Twelfth Night with Kate O’Mara’s British Actors Theatre Company; Roller in Schiller’s
The Robbers, the Gate Theatre; and JJ in
Original Spin, Hampstead Theatre and Criterion, West End.In 2004 he completed a ten month West end run playing Christopher Wren in
The Mousetrap at the St Martins Theatre.
Most recently Matthew played alongside Penelope Keith in the
BBC Radio Four comedy series
Agatha Raisin.Television work includes: the
BBC screenplay
The Princess of Wales, The Bill and several commercials. He has also presented a series of travelogues for Oxford University Press.
Matthew is looking forward to spending time in Vienna and working at Vienna’s English Theatre.
