Having trained at Webber Douglas Academy in London, Melissa started her professional career as an actress playing ‘Mocking Martha’ in Working Title’s
Four Weddings and a Funeral. She has appeared in other films including
Mission Impossible, The Saint, William Nicholson’s
Firelight and most recently
To Kill a King starring Tim Roth and Dougray Scott, to be released later this year.
She has worked extensively in television, appearing in
Dalziel and Pascoe, The Bill, Randall and Hopkirk Deceased and
House of Elliott as well as many other series.
Theatre experience includes
On the Piste, directed by John Godber,
Taming of the Shrew at Ludlow Festival and the leading role in PG Wodehouse’s
Good Morning Bill. She has also starred in Paul McCartney’s music video, Little Willow, directed by John Schlesinger.
Melissa has produced two Shakespeare Festivals and is a contributing editor of Harper’s and Queen magazine. She lives in London with her daughter Kelly.
