Paul trained as an actor at the Bristol Old Vic school and his extensive theatre work in-cluded the Manchester Library Theatre, the Bristol Old Vic, and playing Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest for Vienna’s English Theatre in 1978.
His TV work includes, The Onedin Line, where he climbed the rigging and chipped barnacles off the anchor, Dickens of London where he employed the young Dickens, Doctor Who wearing thigh length gold boots with Tom Baker; Moll Flanders playing the first husband of Moll, played by Julia Foster. It was a short back and side haircut for Wings about the RFC
(Royal Flying Corp), then a trip up north for When the Boat Come In, The Wilde Alliance playing an American gangster, and a Lord in The Treasure of Abbot Thomas one of the BBC’s Christmas Ghost Stories. He appeared in 9/11 State of Emergency on Channel 4, and BBC
He plays Hollywood Star David Niven in a successful one man show which he took to the Edinburgh Festival, and now takes around the UK and beyond. Over the last few years he has made over seven feature films including Photoshoot with John Altman (Nasty Nick from Eastenders), and soon to be released Mariah Mundi and the Midas Box.
In the past two years Paul has been touring the UK on stage with Murdered to Death, Busybody, Death by Fatal Murder, Educating Rita and A Murder Has Been Arranged.
